ASP.NET Tree_DB - Properties

Name Description
propertyConnectionString The connection string that will be used to connect to the database.
 
propertyProviderName Data provider that TreeDB will need to use.

For example:
oTreeDB.ProviderName = "System.Data.SqlClient";
oTreeDB.ProviderName = "System.Data.Oracle";
 
propertyTableName Table name that TreeDB will need to use.

For example:
oTreeDB.TableName = "treeview";
 
propertyEventType The action that the control should execute.

oTreeDB.EventType = EventTypes.Add; // for adding a new node
oTreeDB.EventType = EventTypes.Edit; // for editing an existing node
oTreeDB.EventType = EventTypes.Remove; // for removing a node
oTreeDB.EventType = EventTypes.UpdateLevel; // for changing the level of a node (after dnd)
oTreeDB.EventType = EventTypes.MoveNode; // for move a node up/down
 
propertyFields Collection of data that will be used by the control to perform the
specifed action on the database.

Default FieldCollection members should be:

StandardFields.ID
StandardFields.ParentID
StandardFields.HTMLValue
StandardFields.Icon
StandardFields.Level
StandardFields.Expanded
StandardFields.NodePosition


Fields that are not in this enum will automatically be treated as Additional Field. E.g.:

Fields["Age"].Value = 19;

For each Field, there would be following properties:

propertyDbFieldName Declare database field name for this additional data
propertyDbFieldType Declare database field type for this additional data
propertyValue Value of this additional data
propertyIgnore Ignore this field for when updating to database


For example:
oTreeDB.Fields[TreeDB.StandardFields.ID].DbFieldName = "NodeID";
oTreeDB.Fields[TreeDB.StandardFields.ID].Value = "myNodeID";

propertyKeepNodePosition Used to keep the node position into the database. Optional

oTreeDB.KeepNodePosition = true;
