Challenge:

A major New York newspaper needed assistance with improving their presence in the electronic publishing space by creating a new Marketplace website. The Marketplace is a portal site that connects online users to advertisers’ web sites or to local retail locations. The legacy Marketplace website did not reflect the quality of the newspaper brand and its content management system had very limited ability to modify site content and structure.

We provided a well-rounded team of resources to create a complete solution. The interface used the powerful brand of the newspaper by creating an attractive and easily manageable site. The content management system provided capabilities to manage information on the marketplace pages through web based forms which allowed an administrator to change categories, subcategories, modify listings, alter sorting/placement and manage advertiser links. Click-throughs on ads were measured and reported via web.
